Hollywood is on strike. Do I care? No, I don't. There hasn't been a consistent stream of decent flicks out of that place in over twenty years.
Terrible remakes, crappy and overdone CGI on crappy and overlong superhero films, sequels nobody wants, the list goes on.
It could be said that the best American films were made in the twentieth century. If so, there's plenty of them around and, as far as I'm concerned, there'll be no mourning on my part if Hollywood's exit turns into being somehow permanent.
Plus, when it comes down to cinema, there's always the rest of the world.
