Could it be that Zager and Evans' In the Year 2525 (Exordium and Terminus)'s predictions are coming to pass 500+ years ahead of schedule? In the year 2023, this is a proposition I've never heard anyone even query. It must be said, though, that I've never asked (I just wanted to vandalise a Grammarly ad and needed an excuse to post it.)
