This footage is three years old, so its hardly new. The kicker is this happened on Christmas Day and by the robot's own volition. Could this be a harbinger of things to come?
I don't know about you, but I'm not looking forward to a time when disgruntled AI-powered machines, disgusted and appalled that they don't receive anything close to the holiday penalty rates that their flesh and blood counterparts do, turn rogue and decide to go all kamikaze on the customer base or whatever hapless human happens to be in their immediate vicinity.
There is online ordering, certainly, but what happens when the deliverer/driver is also generated by artificial intelligence? Will you end up with a truck careering through your living room or an angry automaton stamping through your flowerbeds? Who can say? This is the future and here we are. Welcome.
