In this new improved version, the Australian people don't get a say. Yeah, right.
If Parliament ends up legislating this notion, the civil unrest unleashed will be unprecedented as riots will be busting out all over the place. People are still seething at the huge amount of money thrown at a dead duck referendum. Put that together with the way things are going, viz., the day-to-day cost of living, and you have a powder keg on the verge of exploding.
I don't even think Anthony Albanese is that stupid.
