Google has been found to be wilfully blindsiding the public by shelling out billions of dollars over periods of time to the likes of Apple, Samsung et al in order to make their search engine the default option on iPhones and web browsers in order to monopolise (and hopefully eliminate) the competition.
This has had the effect of the company being able to raise the price of advertising space consistently without consequences... until now. A ruling has been handed down after a ten week trial finding the tech giant guilty due to their underhanded practices.
It doesn't stop there when it comes to calling out Google's nefarious conduct. Another trial is due soon regarding their monopolisation of the technology which is used to buy, sell and promote online advertising. That particular trial is due to start next month.
