It's been a game of musical chairs at space agency, NASA, as they tried to stymie the attempts at removal of their jet propulsion lab's chief diversity officer by slyly changing her job description after all her underlings had been retrenched.

The DEI team, now rebranded the Office of Team Excellence and Employee Success still practiced the same sort of exclusionary and discriminatory actions such as overseeing splintered off "affinity groups" favouring one human over another such as, for instance, the Black Excellence Strategic Team.
Recently, a faulty propulsion system caused two astronauts on a ten day mission to be stranded in space for nine months. Coincidentally, this particular diversity officer has gone on the record expressing her view that deadlines undermine inclusion.
This may be mere conjecture on my part, but could there possibly be a connection?
